This office space is designed for a hospitality management company, emphasizing the brand’s core values of warm, comfort, welcoming and contemporary vibrancy through its functional layout and spatial atmosphere.
The space is divided into two main areas: the “Social Hub” and the “Back Office” zone. The “Social Hub” features a bar counter for group discussions, booths by the window-side, a compact wellness corner, meeting rooms, phone booths, and semi-private nooks for focused work. This Social Hub zone encourages interaction, informal meetings, and learning. It creates a welcoming environment for both employees and visitors. The” Back Office Zone” includes open-plan workstations, managers’ offices, printing station, and other essential functional areas to meet daily operational needs.
Located on the upper floors of Hong Kong Plaza’s office tower, the space boasts panoramic urban views. The design amplifies the drama of the cityscape through strategic elements. Upon entering the glass automatic sliding door, a softly curved wall formed by perforated bricks and anodized aluminum panels is appeared. A curved clear glass partition connects this two material which subtly framing the city view in distance. Rounded corners throughout enhance a soothing and inviting ambiance.
Multiple storage lockers are placed in the communal area, supporting a “flexible shared workspace model”. This optimizes spatial efficiency and adaptability.
This project is our first exploration of merging a “social hub concept” with flexible office layouts. The Social Hub balances open collaborative area with private workspace, reflecting an experimental response to evolving workplace in the post-pandemic era.
